The Chastant family

My sister-in-law and nephew were in town this past week. We had such a great time. I am so blessed to have a sister-in-law that I would have been friends with anyways!! My brother did good!!I sure did love to play with my sweet nephew. He has gotten so big. I can't believe that they grow up so fast. The boys played so well together. It is so funny to me how two boys can be so different!! Well we had a wonderful few days with them I wish that they could be here with us. To give you a little background on them.... My brother met Lauren in collage while attending The University of Texas at Arlington, they worked on campus together, and became best friends. I remember going to visit him for the first time and meeting her. I loved her instantly, she was so friendly and giggly (Just like me!!!) I remember arguing with Joshua that he liked her. "Best friends", my butt. They spent every day together, and she had a boyfriend!! He kept saying Christina she has a boyfriend, whatever I knew that they were meant to be together, so much that we bet on it!!!! $100 bucks!! Turns out Lauren found out that her boyfriend was going to propose, and she called Joshy while we were in San Diego on vacation to tell him. My brother was devastated (even though they were just best friends), and I started to question my thoughts about their future together. Well, He decided to join the army. He signed a 5 year contract, before he left he told Lauren that he loved her,and she was shocked and completely confused. Joshy left for boot camp. Right after boot camp Lauren went up with my par tents to visit him and she realized that she loved him!!! They started dating and he proposed that Christmas!!! They got married the next June!!!! (I was so right, and I am so happy that I was) Since then my brother has been to Iraq twice, they have been stationed six states away in North Carolina, and they have given me a beautiful nephew Carter Alan. My brother has served his 5 year contract and now the army will not let him leave and are forcing him to go a third time to war and miss another full year of his son's and families life!!! I am so angry at the Army!!! Why is it that soldiers are expected to keep their side of the contract and the army will uphold their end only if they choose to do so. Well not sure why I felt compelled to tell their story but They are two of the most important people in my life. I am so ready for them to be home!!

This is Conleigh's birth announcement; except the final one had her name in the middle!! I love the black and white with the pink!!!

These are a few of the pictures that he had taken at Motophoto. I will upload some of the better ones of Conleigh later!!!! But I think that they did a great job. The photographer was so good and so patient. I have no idea how she got such good pictures, Cason was restless, and halfway through Conleigh got really hungry.

Conleigh Rose Burgess

Sooo long since last post

Oh my gosh It has been so long since I have posted. I am sorry!! Life has been CRAZY!!! Also when I get on the computer at home poor Cason wants to "help". So I do not get on the computer much. Well much has changed. Our Conleigh Rose is here, and beautiful!! Cason LOVES her, Thank God!! We had a scary delivery that ended with a c-section, I will post a new post with the whole story later. But she is such a good baby!!! She eats ALL of the Time!!! But has grown so much. At her smallest she was 5lbs 5oz, 7 weeks later she is over 9lbs!!! So at least all of my hard work shows off!! She is breastfeeding only no formula as of yet.So feeding her is up to me and a full time job. Today we walked in a 5k "race" for the cure, in which we came in dead last. I think that there was one poor man behind us haha. I went with my mom, Cason ans Conleigh. I was glad that it was a race for breast health because I walked and breastfeed Conleigh for half of the race.(Don't worry I have a wonderful sling that helps me hold her and covers her and more importantly covers my breast!! So helpful) We pulled Cason in a wagon in which he bailed out of and decided he wanted to walk too. Well anyway I am going to try to remember how to post some pictures of our sweet baby.

Pumpkin Farm

This weekend we went to Moore Farms with some friends of ours. Cason had a blast! He loves to be outside. It really was a neat place. They had a place to feed animals, then took us on a hay ride, where we picked out our pumpkin. We all had a great time!

Cason with the "Big Kids" (forgive me Jerri if I misspell any names) Jamison, Jayden, Jordan, and Jessica

Cason just put his face in the hole - we did not even tell him to. Ha Ha

Cason kept trying to eat the animal food (corn-which is his favorite) so daddy helped him.

Our sweet baby is getting so big.
